Expenditure reporting

Media expenditure:

NSW Strategic Communications centrally coordinates media buying and placement for NSW Government agencies, and reports on the media expenditure. Other costs associated with advertising are held by each NSW Government agency.

The below table shows media expenditure by financial year.

Media expenditure by campaign and government agency:

Reports of media expenditure by campaign are updated and published on a quarterly basis. Reports are prepared by financial year.

Reports of total media expenditure (for all categories of advertising) by government agencies are updated and published every six months. Reports are prepared by financial year.

Note: Media expenditure reports may not be final until approximately three months after the close of the report period to ensure accurate finalisation of expenditure  data following completion of advertising activities.
